This is what my experience is like with IC Markets:

Weeks ago, I open a position with spread around 2 pips. But this broker suddenly decided to increase the spread of the pair to 30 pips for two seconds resulting in stop-out, I lost almost 7k totals. Then after I close my positions, the spread dropped to 10 pips immediately after a few seconds. I checked with another broker (I also open the same positions in another broker and there is no problems). I show this evidence to their customer service but the response doesn't make any sense. The main point is, they refuse to compensate me.

Lately, I notice there is recurring server disconnects in Icmarket's...

Lately, I notice there is recurring server disconnects in Icmarket's trading platform. I have to say I am quite disappointed, I am a scalper and I can't say that these delays work in my favor at all. Sometimes the lag is over 20 seconds long, it's really annoying and it has cost me some losses. I have place stop loss but it didn't help at all, I'm not sure that it actually does something after all. I have talked to their customer assistance service, but I don't think it's really helping me. I wonder if other traders also experience this problem? I already checked my connections through several methods and I belive that there is no problem with my internet. So, it has to be a trouble on the Icmarket's side, not mine. The reason I didn't give them 1 star is because in the past they were very good and legit broker. I hope they can live up to their standard again.

Malfunction issue, yet didn't offer any solutions

I don't understand this broker at all, they have been making the same mistake to me twice. During those times they refuse to take responsibility for both errors on their parts. The story was, that a trade was executed when I was away from my phone it took most of my account with it due to a margin I categorically did not place. They are trying to put the blame on me when it was clearly a malfunction issue with mt4 or their server. Even the customer service is a joke and did not offer any solutions at all.

Unable to withdraw for months

My money keeps getting stuck in my trading account, it's unreasonable. I can't withdraw it and I have been trying for months for this. I have asked the customer service but they are blaming my banks. They said the bank refuse to do it, but I find this odd since I have been using it for years. I don't know why they suddenly have problems with it.

At first, they will lure you in, pretending to be a great broker. And for a while they are, they have great spreads that stay consistent despite the market's condition. Even the order executions process was super smooth and quick. When I started, everything was perfect and suddenly the problems began. That sudden change occurred after I made profits several times. Suddenly their 'perfect' order executions change, it starts with a then they just don't execute my order. I thought something was wrong with my desktop, reloaded it and the pause was fatal for my deals. I ask them what is happening but they didn't give me a good answer. It's such a pity, they have all the potential of being one of the most innovative brokers, but they choose not to.

Got no respond from customer service

Has anyone ever experienced this? I will explain it in chronological order.

Several weeks ago I deposited some funds for my MT4 account in IC Markets, but it didn't go through.

I contacted customer service and they said they will be doing something about it, but after a while, I receive no updates regarding the situation.

Because there are no updates, I send another email and I haven't received any answers about it.

How long does it takes to get an update? Will I ever see my money again? It's not much but it's about trust.

I can't withdraw from skrill

It's good that IC Markets have good spreads and affordable commission fees. But, there are several reasons that make me question this broker. For once, why do you let people deposit from skrill if you can't let them withdraw from it? It doesn't make any sense to me. I tried another withdrawal method but it was also full of troubles. Second of all, please reduce your slippage! It's insane how much I suffer only from slippage! It makes trading during super volatile markets more dangerous than it already is. Third, customer service is really bad, I don't think the team understands anything about trading despite my reasoning and explanations.

I can't believe the stunt they pull during the news...

I can't believe the stunt they pull during the news release. They impose super high spreads for the majority of the major currency pairs which is around 100 pips to 200 pips. That of course sent me down to hell. I know that the market is super volatile at the time, but it's still insane. I trade the same pair on another broker and it wasn't that bad. Besides they do impose very terrible slippage that is approximately 10 seconds for delay of market execution on whoever had placed trades on the market. I confronted them, but they just wouldn't budge and keep saying nonsense. Should I move to another broker?

It's been 4 weeks and I still haven't got anything...

It's been 4 weeks and I still haven't got anything new about my withdrawal process. I actually place a withdrawal request and it doesn't appear in my account until the next day. So I decided to contact the customer service but the operator only told me to wait. I thought there must be some error and that everything should be great soon. But, that wasn't the case so I guess I need to wait for something to happen, with no perspective from their end on how long I need to wait. This is something very disappointing because it makes something appear very clearly, they are a mess. I am very sure when it comes to clients' money management, you need at very minimum an SLA support system giving something solid to the customer to hang on to, at least a timeframe.

There are several delays that happened during high-impact news, but the customer service is very helpful. I know they are very busy since there are a lot of traders having the same problems. I appreciate how they stay calm and very understanding about the issue. Other than that it's all smooth sailing. The delays only happen for about 10 seconds. Although it does not have any huge effect on me, it might be a bigger problem for scalpers. So IC Markets should be more careful not to let it happen again.
