Huge Loss Until 150 Pips

I still don't understand what happened, but I will try to explain it in a chronological manner.

First of all, I was trading GBP/CAD earlier. In the beginning, everything seems smooth and I wouldn't think that there is anything wrong at all. I look away for a little bit and suddenly I receive a huge loss. Precisely around 150 pips! I understand that the market might be moving at lightspeed but it won't be this much? I contacted customer service and their answer didn't satisfy me. Has anyone experienced this before? Can anyone explain what happened?

I have my fair share of trading with other Australian...

I have my fair share of trading with other Australian brokers out there, but I think that IC Markets is one of the best among others. Super low spreads and super-fast execution. They also have one of the best customer support. My trading experience has been super so far with the True ECN account. Reliable, smooth process to withdraw.

In the beginning, it was really good. My deposit went very smoothly and there are no problems that occurred during this process. My funds appear almost instantly in my trading account. Even when I'm trading, everything seems to go very well and hassle-free. I think I must have found a reliable broker. But, sadly the problem arises when I'm trying to withdraw my money. They just won't let me get my own money. I tried to ring the person who originally phoned me from Oanda some time ago. Only to find the number is not valid anymore. A tip, you might want to file a small claim against them and report to the FCA if you experience this.

Not gonna lie, I was interested in IC Markets because...

Not gonna lie, I was interested in IC Markets because they advertise themselves as 'raw spread brokers'. Let's be real, who doesn't like small spreads? In the beginning, it all went very smoothly, the spreads are actually good and there are no problems with withdrawing (it's very important that I get my own profits). But then, I noticed that IC Markets increases the spread many times, just to auto-close and stop out on small accounts, despite claiming to be an ECN broker. Problems keep happening, I have difficulty in withdrawing the funds from my account to a bank account. For some reason, do not comply with their product disclosure statement.

I think that IC Market has the best customer service, here is why.

1. Fast response, they really didn't waste my time.

2. Great operator who actually cares about my problem.

3. Efficient, my problem got fixed within seconds.

4. Friendly operator, a real profesional.

Extra-Long Time Withdrawal Process

I never had any problem with IC Market until recently. I recently gain some profit and I want to withdraw it. Normally this is a very simple process in IC market, and it doesn't need the extra headache. But, for some reason, my withdrawal request was denied. I thought it was because I withdraw more than I usually did, so IC Market suspected something weird is going on. So, I informed the customer service, and soon my withdrawal was processed. But, it took an extra-long time for them to do it, the money arrives in my account after a month. That is unacceptable.

I don't know what IC Markets have against my bank....

I don't know what IC Markets have against my bank. Every time I can't do withdraw, they accuse my bank. My deposit doesn't go through, they accuse my bank. Basically, they blame my bank that I can't do anything, it's crazy! I never had that kind of problem with other brokerages. When I ask my bank, they said it's the broker's fault! I've even gone down to complaints and considering moving to another broker all of which IC markets have refused to do though all my paperwork is in order and they said they will process it but never follow through.

In the end, they always have excuses that have no ends, and it's all doesn't make any sense. They weren't always like this, they use to be really good ones. I am really at a level of not even knowing what I am going to do next and I've got hundreds of thousands invested with them that I don't know when I can see it again.

Spreads And Stop Loss Manipulations

I am pretty sure they manipulate the spreads and stop-loss manipulations. Last month I was trading in a GBP/USD and I make the mistake of not checking for a while. When I saw that I have lost I was really surprised, turns out the spreads have moved 8 pips from my original positions. Another weird thing is that I actually place a stop loss before, but it wasn't executed. Now, luckily I also open a similar position of the same pair in another broker and it hasn't moved that much! Am I imagining things?

Buggy and Laggy Platform

Terrible! Here are the reasons why I decided to close my account in Oanda and noped out.

1. If you don't pay close attention to your positions, they can empty your account in no time for 'inactivity fee'

2. Terrible platforms! It's really buggy, laggy, and there are a lot of malware

3. Order executions geted

4. Customer supports is terible

Spread great, executions great, but I can't give IC Markets...

Spread great, executions great, but I can't give IC Markets a 5 star yet. The main reason is that they don't have negative balance protection yet. It is such a shame because I see this feature as a very important one. I really want to trade big volumes with IC Markets, but I don't know if I would dare to do it without negative balance protection. For now, I should be happy with trading a small lot. Another thing I'd like to comment on is the customer service. They should improve their knowledge. A few times I met with support personnel who can't even answer a simple question. Often I would put into a 20 minutes hold over the phone.
