As many as 30 orphans were given shopping vouchers by XM so that they had the opportunity to choose the things they needed most, such as school equipment, food, and clothes.
To ease the financial burden for orphans, XM and Human Initiative in Indonesia, on March 11, 2023, held the 'Shopping with Orphans' program at Transmart Cempaka Putih in Central Jakarta.
This initiative is part of XM's ongoing efforts to help those most in need, including children in difficult situations. They believe small gestures like this can make a difference and make them smile.
In this social action, as many as 30 orphans were given shopping vouchers so that they had the opportunity to freely choose the things they needed most, such as school equipment, food, and clothes. The orphans came from 4 schools assisted by Human Initiative, including ten from SDIT Al Amanah, five from SDIT Al Mubarok, five from SDIT Perjuanganku, and ten from SDIT Tunas Muda.
Human Initiative is an Indonesian charitable organization with over 3000 volunteers in 13 countries. It is also registered as a partner agency in the European Union for social programs and in the United Nations as an NGO with Special Consultative Status with the Socio-Economic Council.
With the experience and background of this organization, XM, together with Human Initiative, took the initiative to be part of helping the lives of these orphans.
