Swissquote will build its own standalone office tower in Gland, Switzerland after the majority of the city's population voted yes.

The land-use plan by online banking and brokerage firm Swissquote was welcomed by authorities in La Crétaux. Swissquote has won the rights to build a 60m high headquarters tower in Gland, Switzerland.

In a local vote, a 57.5% majority of the population of Gland, Switzerland approved the land use plan. Swissquote was also allowed to build a new office tower near the location of the old headquarters.

Swissquote is very pleased with this decision, which will allow the company to continue its development in the location where it was founded and to transform its long-standing headquarters as its business grows. Regarding this plan, Marc Bürki, Chief Executive Officer and Paolo Buzzi, member of the Board of Directors said:

The approval of the La Crétaux land-use plan will enable us to create a truly interdisciplinary campus featuring high-quality architecture and a green setting.
