Forex broker with a banking background, Swissquote announced the appointment of Nestor Verrier as the new Chief Operating Officer to replace the position vacated by Lino Finini, who will retire at the end of 2023. He will take up the new role on 1 January 2024.

Verrier started his career in the international Banking industry more than 20 years ago and has held leadership positions related to operations and IT development. He has played his role as General Manager of Bank Europe at Swissquote since 2019. Before joining the Swiss fintech company, he had work experience as a senior analyst and was general manager at Banque Carnegie Luxembourg for 16 years.

Swissquote CEO Marc Bürki commented, "We are pleased to welcome Nestor as our new COO starting January 2024. With an international and technology-oriented background, he is the natural successor to our Chief Operating Officer (COO), who will retire at the end of this year. "

Additionally, Finini stepped down after completing his four-year term as COO. He also played a prominent role at Swissquote for over two decades, including as Executive Director and Board member of the Malta-based subsidiary.

"Swissquote would not be what it is today without Lino's insightful and determined leadership and many successful initiatives. We wish him all the best in the next chapter of his life," Bürki added.
