Children with serious health conditions in South Africa may feel at ease due to XM's continuous donation every month through Reach for a Dream Foundation. The Reach for a Dream Foundation is dedicated to making children's lives more joyful and helping them achieve their dreams.
XM monthly donation to the Reach for a Dream Foundation is part of their wider goal to help communities in need around the world and their provision of corporate social initiatives.
XM supports the project each month by sponsoring two of the foundation's chosen kids and giving them a day full of their favorite activities and pleasant surprises.
There is Reniloe, a girl with cystic fibrosis that forces her to stay in the hospital bed at most of her time. Despite this impairment, she loves playing arcade games. She takes an oxygen tank with her wherever she goes, but Reniloe forgot all about it while at the arcade. Reniloe is passionate about helping others and dreams of becoming a doctor one day. To cheer her up and maintain her dream, XM gifted her a laptop for her schoolwork. In return, she expressed her abundant gratitude to XM's volunteer.
The second girl, who wished to remain unnamed is diagnosed with cancer, causing her to miss a lot of courses and assignments at school. However, she decided to never give up. One of XM volunteers ed Polkadraai Strawberry Farm, which she has dreamed about for so long. The girl was overjoyed with a tractor ride for her special day out. Another surprise is the gift of a laptop for catching up on her schoolwork. The girl and her family really thank XM team for helping her see the dream in the reality.
