XM and Reach for a Dream Foundation in South Africa join hands to pull out a charity program to help fulfill the dreams of children facing acute illness.
Recently, XM broker contacted the Reach for a Dream Foundation in South Africa to help them realize the dreams of children facing acute illnesses such as cancer or brain tumors.
Together with the Reach for a Dream Foundation, the CySEC-regulated company decided to choose two children every month and focus on fulfilling their dreams, so that at least their day is a little brighter.
This summer, XM has connected with two courageous souls, Akhule, a patient with B-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia, and Senamile, who lives with osteosarcoma. XM asked them what would make them smile.
Akhule Zondi, 4 years old
Akhule is a shy child who likes to spend time with her parents and twin sister, Aphile. Akhule also enjoys playing games on her mother's cell phone.
XM gave Bubblegum a tablet and her eyes sparkled when she held it for the first time. The boy played it all the time; even when going out for pizza with him and his family.
Senamile Nosihle Luthuli, 14 years old
Senamile is a chatty young woman with a passion for fashion design, drawing, and photography. She spends her free time chatting with friends and taking pictures on her mother's cell phone, so having her own cell phone has been her dream for a long time.
When they met, XM gave a Reach for a Dream teddy bear, a blanket, a notebook, and a beanie. Senamile was very grateful but then surprised her with a new phone. Senamile was so dumbfounded that he couldn't speak for a minute. Lastly, XM took her and her family out. She loves being in the fresh air, which she misses so much after being discharged from the hospital and spending most of her time at home.
