Cyprus-based multi-asset broker, Exness, donates three fully-equipped firetrucks to the Cyprus Forestry Department in response to islandwide wildfires in 2021, which comprises Exness CEO Petr Valov's donation of €300,000.

Exness Head of CSR, Martin Thorvaldsson handed over the keys to the three firetrucks representing the Forests Department representatives in the small event held on Tuesday, August 2, 2022, at the Nursery in Athalassas, Nicosia. In addition to stressing the importance of the corporate sector supporting firefighters and forest rangers' self-sacrificing work, Mr. Thorvaldsson also stated his commitment to future aid and collaboration.

"We are therefore delighted to contribute to fighting future forest fires by donating these three fire trucks. We hope and trust they will come to good use. In the coming years, we have plans to help even more, and we look forward to a fruitful collaboration with the Department of Forests and the Cyprus Fire Service."

Charalambos Alexandrou, Forests Department head, said, "These firetrucks, donated by Exness today, as well as the advanced technology of drones that are currently being developed, are going to contribute greatly to our efforts to keep our forests intact and our communities safe."

In turn, Costas Kadis, Minister of Agriculture, Rural Development, and Environment, also expresses his appreciation to the company regarding the help. "The contribution of the private sector, from companies such as Exness to governmental efforts, was deeply humbling and appreciated. Exness not only donated these three firetrucks but also pledged to help with high-tech equipment that has already been ordered and with reforestation events."

The FSCA-regulated broker also plans to donate landscape drones that can identify fires early.
