APOEL Cycling Club entered its first international race in Israel in 1979. Due to hard work and dedication, this Cypriot-based club has won many awards on a global scale. Most recently, in July 2023, Dimitris Prekas represented Cyprus at the Youth Olympic Games in Slovenia, crossing the finish line 32 seconds behind the first competitor in the first group of the race.

Furthermore, the team celebrates several successes in cycling and making Cyprus proud. Two members of Stavrovouni Kornos Cycling Club, Alexandra Safiri and Sotiliana Gabriel, and a BIKIN CYPRUS member, George Kyriakidi, finished 9th, 57th, and 66th respectively, in the individual time race. Moreover, Dymov Kostov from THOI FILIA and Chloe Micharidou from ELITE came 14th and 18th severally for the mountain bike race.

"We couldn't be happier because our dedication to sport and athletics is significant. BDSwiss wants to promote cycling as part of a healthy and active lifestyle and celebrate individual and collective success. We can't wait to see the performance of our athletes next year," comments BDSwiss on its website.
