Interactive Brokers continues to collaborate with Sustain.Life platform to lower the carbon footprint on IMPACT application with the release of new feature.
Interactive Brokers in collaboration with Sustain.Life provides emission data from each carbon emission activity available in the IMPACT application. The Sustain.Life platform helps companies from various industries reduce the impact of carbon emissions on the environment by providing ESG tools that enable the measurement and management of their contamination.
Through this collaboration, Interactive Brokers officially launched Carbon Offsets, the newest feature in the IMPACT app. Carbon Offsets empowers investors to reduce individual carbon emissions in an easy-to-use trading platform that streamlines the sustainable investment process for clients.
This feature can be used, for example, when a client plans to fly from New York City to Hong Kong. He can tap the "Your Carbon Offset" button on the homepage of the IMPACT app and swipe up to review offsets by category. Clients are then invited to choose flight times in hours and purchase carbon offsets to make a positive impact on the planet. Plus, the feature is able to record the number of tonnes of carbon neutralized so clients can track their progress in reducing their carbon footprints.
