Interactive Brokers' DART for January 2023 increased to 14% MoM (1.988 million), while the YoY basis is down 24%.

United States-based broker Interactive Brokers posted its broker metrics for January 2023, reporting a 14% month-over-month increase in Trading Daily Average Earnings (DART), which reached 1.988 million. Unfortunately, on a YoY basis, the broker's DART is down 24%.

In addition, the broker also reports a yearly average net of 211 DART per client account. IBKR saw its client accounts grow by 2% to 2.13 million accounts, or up 23%, over the same period in the previous year.

Interactive Brokers posted a record profit during the last quarter of 2022, with $1.31 per share earnings. Plus, net income and adjusted net income for the three months from October to December 2022 jumped 62% ($976 million) and 40% YoY ($958 million), respectively.

In December, DART Interactive Brokers reached 1.751 million, 10% lower than the previous month and 21% lower than December 2021.

The company ended January 2023 with a 10% increase in client equity to $337.6 billion. Although his clients' margin loan balances increased 2% to $39.5 billion during the period, they were down 21% over the previous year.
