OANDA announced the appointment of ex-FXCM Jessica Beckstead as the North American Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer for the US branch.
Top multi-asset broker OANDA appointed the former FXCM Managing Director Jessica Beckstread as North America region MD, as well as Chief Executive Officer for the United States.
During her time at FXCM, Beckstead held positions as Global Head of Sales and Customer Success, and CEO of the Australia area. She worked for FXCM for over 18 years starting her career there as Vice President of Forex Sales in New York in October 2004.
OANDA announced that Beckstead would be responsible for driving the company's continued successful growth across the US and Canada, so she will be based in New York.
Commenting on the appointment, OANDA CEO Gavin Bambury described Beckstead as an excellent choice in driving the brokerage expansion in America.
"Her extensive experience growing a retail business, as well as proven operational and strategic expertise, will enable us to identify and implement new strategies to strengthen our reputation, increase market growth, and propel the business forward," Bambury said.
Beckstead also responded that her years of experience on six continents developing and scaling retail brokers would be of great use to her new role. She was eager to build a strong foundation for the OANDA brand in the US and Canada.
