FXCM launched a new platform and PWA web application for expansion. Two new additions are available for Trading Station Desktop and Trading Station Mobile.

Leading international provider of Forex and CFD headquartered in New York City, FXCM, is introducing a new trading platform and Progressive Web Application (PWA) to provide more access globally to products and services while expanding its business in the coming months. New platform additions are now available for Trading Station Desktop and Trading Station Mobile platforms.

The global broker partnered with trading technology provider Adaptive Financial Consulting to develop a new web-based application, still in early beta. The broker says it plans to roll out various tools and features in the new app in the coming months.

Retail trade hit a record high earlier this year, with non-institutional market participation accounting for around 23% of the market size. The new platform is designed to provide market segments with the tools to access key markets and seize new opportunities.

In addition to desktop and mobile trading platforms, FXCM provides clients with MetaTrader 4 trading functionality and an Application Programming Interface (API). However, a new PWA will allow clients to enjoy an app-like experience from its web platform, the company said in a statement. With this experience, users can add the new platform to their home screen instead of downloading and installing a mobile app.

FXCM CEO, Brendan Curran, commented, "Our new web-based platform will improve accessibility, especially for clients in jurisdictions who are offline and working in jurisdictions with poor network conditions, where they cannot access native trading applications in their local platform."
