FBS, a leading global multi-asset broker, has shown support by distributing emergency assistance, in the form of staple foods, for Turkish people affected by the earthquake on February 18, 2023. FBS collaborated with Lutov Daroglu and Cihan Kasal and sent some aid to the earthquake victims.
Turkey sits on primary fault lines and frequently stricken earthquakes, but this year was among the deadliest in the country's history. A powerful earthquake struck southern Turkey near Syria's northern border with a magnitude of 7.8 on February 6, 2023. It was followed approximately nine hours later by a magnitude 7.5 aftershock, about 59 miles (95 kilometers) to the southwest. The disaster killed more than 2,300 people in a 40-second tremor, felt as far away as Lebanon and Cyprus.
With this program, FBS has allocated funds well and increased its concern for the earthquake victims in Turkey. Forex brokers donated some groceries 799 boxes containing rice, wheat, salt, sugar, oil, and other basic needs in Hatay, Turkey.
