IC Markets has joined forces with 6 German football clubs, Bayer Leverkusen among them, to help the Australian-based broker expand into the German market.

The strategy of sponsoring sports clubs is still popularly used by brokers as a way to spread existence, including working with several other sports teams on other continents to expand the global recognition of its brand.

This method is also done by forex and CFD broker IC Markets which has just signed a partnership agreement with six German football clubs. This opportunity is the first time an Australian broker has partnered with any German sports club.

Although headquartered in Australia, IC Markets operates and operates in Europe under a Cyprus-regulated entity. IC Markets also holds licenses from Australian, Seychelles, and Bahamas regulators.

IC Markets also Sponsors Other Sport Clubs

IC Markets now sponsors Bayer Leverkusen, Hertha Berlin, FC Augsburg, Arminia Bielefeld, Greuther Fürth and VfL Bochum, all of whom play in the country's top-flight domestic league, Bundesliga.

Under the agreement, IC Markets is allowed to advertise in the LED perimeter of the field, along with the logo and intellectual property rights. Hendrik Schiphorst, CEO of Sportfive agency which mediated sponsorship deals between the regulated broker and football clubs, said that the Bundesliga will make a major contribution to the spread of IC Markets' existence in Germany.

Although this is the first time IC Markets has sponsored a German football club, IC Markets has signed partnership agreements with various sports clubs many times before. Earlier in August, the broker signed a deal with the OG Esports team.
