Forex and contracts for differences (CFDs) broker based in Australia, Blueberry Markets, has promoted Jack Fung to Chief Financial Officer.
Blueberry Markets was established mid-2016 by Dean Hyde, a former executive at local competitor broker Axi or AxiTrader. The broker has an Australia Financial Services (AFS) license from the local financial market supervisor, ASIC, and gives more than 300 instruments to global clients under the Vanuatu Financial Services Commission (VFSC).
Fung is a finance expert and a Principal at Abacus Advisory, a Sydney company offering outsourced CFO services. His Linkedin profile says that he still works in this role and at Blueberry Markets. At first, he worked part-time for Blueberry Markets, but now he works there full-time.
In addition, he has extensive experience working with brokerages that offer services for retail margin trading. During his nearly six-year tenure at Axi, he played the most prominent role in the industry. In June 2015, he began working as a Financial Controller for this broker before being promoted to Director of Financial Planning Analysis. There, he served as Interim CFO and General Manager of Finance before leaving as Head of Corporate Finance & Transformation. While at Axi, Fung worked with the Australian broker's Managing Director for a short period.
