Today's forex broker news has come from former FairMarkets CEO James O'Neill who has taken on a senior executive role at Australia-headquartered forex broker Blueberry Markets.

O'Neill moved to the tight-spread broker after around eight years contributing to FairMarkets, acquired by the Turkish trading group, which is now part of Tribe.

O'Neill began his career at Fairmarkets Trading Pty Ltd., licensed by the Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC) in 2015 as Executive Director. In 2020, the company appointed him as CEO for a year, and then he served as Chief Executive Officer until 2023.

"I'm very excited to join as a Blueberry member. Over the past seven years, I have watched with amazement and envy the incredible growth of the blueberry market. From day one, a great culture creates a conducive and structured company. I can't wait to roll up my sleeves shirt and join a high-performing team," O'Neill posted on LinkedIn.

Since its founding in 2016, Blueberry Markets has grown under the leadership of CEO Dean Hyde, serving more than 50 thousand customers. The no-commission broker on Standard accounts offers trading on over 300 instruments and was an Australian finalist for Best Online Customer Service with Finder.
