As a part of the IG Group's Brighter Future initiative, the company recently joins hands with Teach for Australia (TFA). The partnership aims to focus on reducing education inequality in Australia.
Ultimate forex broker IG Group has signed a deal with TFA (Teach For Australia). The deal is a collaboration that included as TFA part of IG’s international Brighter Future initiative in which the broker is focusing on different ESG activities.
Addressing Education Inequality due to Pandemic
London-listed financial brokerage IG Group recently announced that it has entered into a partnership with Teach for Australia (TFA), an Australian non-profit organization focused on tackling educational inequality in the country.
In 2020, the IG Group and UK-based educational charity Tech Fund launched a £2 million education fund to help schools serving underprivileged communities where youth education has been severely disrupted by the coronavirus pandemic.
Commenting on the latest initiative, Melodie Potts Rosevear, CEO of TFA, said that they are very grateful to be working with the IG Group on this partnership. Driven by a strong desire to support small communities in accessing decent education, IG took swift action and allocated £5 million to the IG Brighter Future Fund.
Kevin Algeo, APAC CEO at IG added that IG's Brighter Future Initiative was established to support IG's mission for community members to receive equal access to education and social mobility.
In addition to the mentioned social activities, IG Group has also expanded its sponsorship activities since early 2021 by signing a sponsorship agreement with the England national cricket team.
