eToro revealed that the company has started offering more cryptocurrencies choices to clients with the addition of Theta and Fantom.
The online broker eToro continues to add to the variety of crypto assets available, one of which is the addition of Theta and Fantom to its crypto listings. Theta is a decentralized video delivery network to become Metaverse's critical media infrastructure. THETA is the governance token of the Theta Network, which is used to reward nodes that are tasked with securing the blockchain.
Meanwhile, Fantom is a scalable smart contract platform based on a unique consensus mechanism called Lachesis. FTM is an asset of the Fantom blockchain, which can be leveraged to pay network fees, secure the network through staking, and vote on proposals.
Not Available in the US
This is not the first time eToro has expanded its crypto offering. In February, the leading social trading network added several new tokens, such as Avalanche and Hedera Hashgraph. The above releases of THETA and FTM bring the total number of crypto assets available on eToro to 57.
Clients now have access not only to THETA and FTM, but also BTC, ETH, BCH, LTC, XRP, DASH, ETC, ADA, XLM, EOS, NEO, TRON, ZEC, BNB, XTZ, LINK, UNI, COMP, AAVE, YFI, MANA, ALGO, MATIC, BAT, MKR, ENJ, FIL, DOT, SOL, ATOM, GRT, CRV, 1INCH, SUSHI, $CHZ, QNT, AXS, CELO, SAND, DOGE, SHIBxM, FET, SNX, BNT, ZRX, DYDX, REN, HBAR, AVAX, STORJ, BAL, GALA, LRC, and MIOTA.
Unfortunately, for now, the new assets above are not yet available for US clients. The company recently revamped its pricing system for crypto trading, so that clients now have to pay a unified fixed fee of 1% when opening, and closing positions on any crypto asset, above the raw market spread.
