Comparing TMGM Edge Vs Classic Account

Mar 28, 2023
There are two kinds of TMGM account types, the TMGM Edge and Classic. Which one has the best conditions?

It is widely known that brokers tend to offer several different account types. These accounts usually have various specifications to cater to more traders. Some brokers might offer up to 10 different account types. While having options is good, it might be confusing for first-time traders. The thing is, account types in brokers can be simplified into two categories: the standard account and the low-spread account.

A good example of this is TMGM broker. The broker has only two real account types, making it easier for traders to choose. Those are Classic (the standard account) and Edge (the low-spread account).

Before getting deeper into TMGM account types, let's get to know this broker better. In general, TMGM is a well-known CFD brokerage with cutting-edge technology. In addition, thr broker offers a wide range of markets that include forex, indices, shares, precious metals, energies, and cryptocurrencies.

1. TMGM Classic Account

The first TMGM account type is called the Classic account. Technically, this is the standard account of TMGM. To trade in this account, you need to prepare a minimum deposit of $100. There won't be any extra charge for the deposit transaction from TMGM.

Two trading platforms are available in this account: MT4 and MT5. Both are well-known trading platforms with a lot of benefits. Meanwhile, the spread starts from 1.0 pips with no commission fee. In addition to that, traders can enjoy high leverage up to 1:500.

The TMGM Classic account uses ECN execution to give traders direct market access. Muslim traders do not need to worry because TMGM Classic also offers a swap-free option in this account. In addition, traders are allowed to use hedging, scalping, and Expert advisors (EA) for automatic trading, giving traders more flexibility in their trading strategy. In general, this account is suitable for all kinds of traders, including first-timers.

2. TMGM Edge Account

The second TMGM account is called Edge. This is a low-spread account that is perfect for traders looking for the best pricing to maximize their strategies.

The minimum deposit is only $100, similar to TMGM Classic account. The main difference is the spread which starts from 0.01 pips. However, one thing to remember is that a low-spread account always comes with a commission fee. In this case, the TMGM Edge account charges a commission fee of $7 per round turn. Traders can enjoy leverage of up to 1:500 when trading in this account.

Like the Classic account, the Edge account also uses ECN. Expert Advisors, hedging, and scalping are all allowed, and muslim are supported with Islamic account features.

Consider These When Choosing an Account

First-time traders might find it hard to choose the best trading account. To simplify it, traders can use these two factors to pick the right trading account that works for them:

The Strategy

Strategy is a very important matter when choosing the right account. There are a lot of strategies that require special conditions from the trading account. For example, if the trader is using a scalping strategy, they should look for low spread, low commission fees, and other scalping-friendly terms in the broker. These factors will directly affect the trader's results. On the other hand, if their strategy calls for high leverage, it's best to find an account with a good amount of maximum leverage.

Trading Cost

It is crucial for traders to make sure the trading cost is in accordance with their capability. Things to look for are the minimum deposit, deposit fees, spreads, commission fees, and swap rates. The key is to make sure traders can pay for the trading costs. Professional traders might be capable of paying high trading costs. On the other hand, new traders might prefer something affordable.

Which TMGM Account is the Best?

The TMGM Classic account offers many flexible options. This account doesn't have the lowest spread but does not have commission fees. This makes this account good for new traders or any other trader who prefer to open big positions. On the other hand, the TMGM Edge account focuses on providing low spread. This account is good for short-term traders or scalpers who like to open small but frequent positions. For the full comparison, check out the table below:

Hey there! I'm new to trading and recently stumbled upon TMGM. Their Classic account caught my eye since it offers no commissions. I did some research and found out that this account uses ECN execution, giving traders direct market access. One thing I noticed is that they also offer a swap-free option for Muslim traders. I'm curious, why is this option important for Muslim traders specifically? Can you explain what swap fees are and how they relate to Islamic finance? And how does TMGM's swap-free option work? I'd love to learn more about it

You need to know, in Islamic finance, interest or riba is prohibited. Swap fees are essentially an interest payment charged on positions that are held open overnight in forex trading. Because of this, Muslim traders are not allowed to participate in conventional forex trading that involves paying or receiving interest. To cater to this, brokers like TMGM offer swap-free or Islamic accounts that do not charge or pay interest. Instead, they may charge an administration fee or adjust the price of the currency pair to compensate for the lost interest.

TMGM Classic's swap-free option works by removing any swap fees from the trades made by Muslim traders. This allows them to participate in the forex market without violating their religious beliefs. It's worth noting that not only Muslim traders can benefit from swap-free accounts. Traders who prefer to avoid swap fees for other reasons can also opt for this type of account.

To be noted, the swap-free option is not exclusive to Muslim traders, but it is designed to accommodate their religious beliefs. In Islamic finance, there is a prohibition on earning or paying interest, which is known as riba. This includes the concept of swap fees, which are charges incurred for holding a position overnight.

In conventional trading, swap fees are typically charged to reflect the difference in interest rates between the two currencies being traded. For example, if you buy a currency with a higher interest rate than the currency you are selling, you will earn a positive swap fee. Conversely, if you buy a currency with a lower interest rate, you will incur a negative swap fee.

For Muslim traders, the concept of paying or earning interest is not permissible under Islamic law. As a result, swap fees are considered haram, or forbidden. To accommodate Muslim traders, many brokers offer swap-free accounts, which allow traders to hold positions overnight without incurring any swap fees.

In practice, a swap-free account works by adjusting the price of the currency pair being traded to reflect the absence of swap fees. This means that the spread, or the difference between the buy and sell prices of a currency pair, may be slightly wider than in a conventional account. However, this difference is generally small and does not significantly impact trading performance.

At TMGM Classic, the swap-free option is available to all traders who wish to avoid swap fees, not just Muslim traders. The option is designed to provide greater flexibility for traders and accommodate a variety of trading styles and beliefs.

Dude, what I learned from TMGM Edge and Classic is about the spread. The article stated that TMGM uses ECN execution in both the Edge and Classic accounts, although the spread used in the Classic account seems to be higher than that of non-ECN brokers. For example, some brokers can offer spreads starting from zero, but they are just STP brokers.

So, my question is about ECN itself. Can we say that a spread of 0.0 pips is ECN and a spread of 1 pip is not? What is the difference between them, and how can we feel the impact of ECN in real trading?

Liam

Mar 29 2023

ECN stands for Electronic Communication Network, and it is a type of forex broker that provides direct access to interbank liquidity. ECN brokers typically offer very tight spreads, often starting from 0.0 pips, because they aggregate prices from multiple liquidity providers and offer the best available bid/ask prices to their clients.

However, not all brokers that offer spreads starting from 0.0 pips are necessarily ECN brokers. Some brokers may use a dealing desk model or hybrid model that allows them to offer low spreads, but they may not provide the same level of direct market access as a true ECN broker. Additionally, some brokers may offer variable spreads that may widen during times of market volatility or news events, even if they are using an ECN model.

Basically, it is not all about the spread at all. But as the article also said, it is about the type of the execution!

Edwin

Mar 29 2023

The Classic account seems very promising, especially for beginners who prefer trading without commission. Although the spread is higher, starting with only 1 pip seems reasonable. This is the advantage of an ECN broker, as there are no commissions despite the higher spread.

I have one question that sounding in my mind. If I decided to do the intraday trading, what account that may suitable for me? Is it classic account with 1 pips but no commission, or is it Edge Account with 0.0 pips but with $7 commissions?

Royce

Mar 29 2023

As for your question, the choice of account depends on your trading strategy and preferences. If you are a frequent intraday trader who focuses on scalping or short-term trading, the Edge Account with 0.0 pips and a $7 commission per lot may be more suitable for you as it offers lower spreads and faster execution. However, if you prefer to hold your positions for a longer period, the Classic account with a higher spread and no commission may be more cost-effective in the long run. Ultimately, it's important to consider your trading style, risk tolerance, and overall goals when choosing an account type.

However, if you ask about my opinion, off course, the classic account would be perfect for beginner since it has no commission at all. Remember, the Edge account seems have lower trading fees, however, if you look at the commission which is high, your win rate ratio and your profit need to be enough to pay the commission per lot.

Edwin

Mar 29 2023

Oh yeah? Why I would not think about the win rate ratio with the amount of profit that I can get. I think I understand now why some traders avoid lower spread and higher commission. It is because of that, and now I understand why the Raw spread account can be the best for professional because they can use effectively the spread. Meanwhile, as beginner, we may have trial and error which is can be risky if we keep open the position without enough profit sometimes loss to pay the commission. By the way thanks for the insight, dude!

Hey there! I'm just getting started with trading and I've been doing some research on different brokers. I came across TMGM and it seems like a pretty well-known CFD brokerage with some really advanced technology. It said in the article, TMGM has edge technology. So, can you tell me more about what sets TMGM apart from other brokers in terms of their technology? And how does that technology help traders in their decision-making process? Also, I'm curious about what kind of assets are available to trade on TMGM's platform? Are they limited to just a few types of assets or is there a wide variety to choose from? Thanks!

Roger

"Cutting-edge" is an idiom that is often used to describe something that is innovative and advanced. In the case of TMGM, it means that they are utilizing the latest technology to provide their clients with the best possible trading experience. This includes things like advanced trading platforms, fast execution speeds, and real-time market data. By staying up-to-date with the latest technological advancements in the industry, TMGM is able to provide their clients with a competitive edge and stay ahead of the curve.

And I think TMGM is actually a very well-regarded CFD brokerage. Beside cutting-edge things, they also have invested a lot in their trading platform, which is designed to provide traders with a smooth and intuitive experience. Plus, they offer a wide range of trading instruments, including Forex, commodities, and indices, so there is something for everyone. Overall, I think it is very good choice to trade with them.

The leverage offered by TMGM is really high, at 1:500, which means I can get the power to buy in Forex up to 500 times my equity. This sounds fair and really helps traders who have little money to start trading in Forex. Moreover, the minimum deposit at TMGM is only $100, which makes it even more accessible to beginners.

However, I'm confused about the difference in terms I encountered while signing up. I'm from Australia, and I expected to have the same terms as advertised, but the leverage I got was only 1:20. I would appreciate an explanation for this discrepancy

Kenny

Mar 30 2023

It's understandable that you are confused about the differences in the terms you are seeing when signing up for an account, particularly regarding the leverage offered.

It's important to note that regulations can vary depending on the country you are in. TMGM is regulated by different regulatory bodies in different countries, which may result in different terms and conditions for traders in different regions. In your case as an Australian trader, TMGM may be required to adhere to the Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC) regulations which limit the maximum leverage offered to retail traders to 1:20. The detail of ASIC rule, you can read at here : ASIC Regulation

It's possible that the terms you saw initially were geared towards traders in another region where different regulations apply. It's always a good idea to check with the TMGM customer support team to clarify any confusion and ensure that you fully understand the terms and conditions that apply to your specific account.

Mendez

Mar 30 2023

Let me add some additional information. Before trading with TMGM, it's important to consider their regulations. As indicated in the pop-up window in the article, TMGM is regulated by ASIC in Australia, FSP in New Zealand, the Financial Commission in some countries across Asia and Europe, and VFSC in Vanuatu. It's important to note that trading conditions can vary depending on the regulatory body, and based on the terms mentioned above, global traders may be subject to the VFSC's trading conditions. Therefore, it's possible that traders from certain countries may have different trading conditions. I hope this explanation helps clarify things!

When it comes to discussing the ECN account options available at TMGM, both the edge and classic accounts utilize ECN execution. The trading platforms offered for these accounts are MT4 and MT5, which are widely used in the forex industry. While it is said that MT5 can provide more advanced features for ECN execution, some suggest that MT4's simplicity makes it the better choice. As a beginner looking to open a standard account (classic account) at TMGM, MT4 could be a good option since the standard account also utilizes ECN execution.

Jason

Mar 30 2023

Actually, it is good choice, dude! MT4 is a popular trading platform that's widely used in the forex industry. As a beginner looking to open a standard account (classic account) in TMGM, using MT4 could be a great choice. One of the main reasons why MT4 is such a popular platform is because of its simplicity. Unlike other platforms that can be quite complex and overwhelming, MT4 is user-friendly and easy to navigate. This makes it a great option for beginners who may not be as familiar with the ins and outs of trading.

Another advantage of using MT4 is the wide range of indicators and tools available. These can help you analyze the market and make more informed trading decisions. Some of the most commonly used tools include trend lines, moving averages, and Bollinger bands. MT4 also allows you to customize your charts and indicators, so you can create a trading environment that's tailored to your specific needs and preferences.

When it comes to ECN execution, MT4 is a great platform to use. The standard account (classic account) at TMGM is ECN execution based, meaning that your trades are executed directly on the market without any interference from a dealing desk. This can result in faster and more accurate trades. With MT4, you can access a range of features that make ECN execution easier, such as one-click trading, depth of market (DOM), and advanced order types.

Of course, while MT4 is a great platform, it may not be the best choice for everyone. Some traders prefer more advanced platforms that offer more features and customization options. If you're the type of trader who likes to experiment with different strategies and tools, you may find that MT5 or other platforms offer more flexibility.

Previously I was very foreign to this TMGM broker. From all your explanations, I feel that this application is very detailed in explaining the conditions for withdrawing funds. Although I don't know about the products offered by the TMGM broker, I think the deposit and withdrawal service at this broker is quite good and very detailed. The funding method offered is also good, diamond, and free of charge again.

The minimum deposit at this broker is 100 USD and you will get free deposit and withdrawal fees as well. Wow, I have never found a broker that provides free deposit and withdrawal services. Usually, it's free in the deposit section, while there is a fee for withdrawals. This means that TMGM is a broker that offers low funding costs. but there is something that makes me curious because I have never heard of this broker. How can I be sure that this broker is safe to use in trading and as a place to store our funds? Maybe someone in the know can help explain...

Fricky

Jun 3 2023

Ok guys, let me explain. Although I am also not a user of this broker, I have studied this TMGM broker several times. If you ask whether this broker is safe or not? I feel safe, okay? TMGM is overseen by two of the world's leading financial jurisdictions.

  • Australian Securities and Investment Commission (ASIC), the focus is on protecting Australian consumers, investors, and creditors. including one of the top-level regulators in Australia.
  • and the Vanuatu Financial Services Commission (VFSC). The VFSC Financial License supports a wide range of trading services such as remittances, payments, Forex trading, bulk commodities, securities trading, and financial consulting.
  • TMGM also falls under the umbrella of the Financial Markets Authority. this is the regulator for New Zealand's traders. The FMA is the entity responsible for financial reporting and enforcing securities and other laws relating to financial markets.

Of all the regulators who oversee the TMGM broker, I think this broker is a good and safe broker for trading, moreover, TMGM also offers trading with free deposit and withdrawal fees.

TMGM Classic account type offers spreads from 1 pip. However, no commission fees are included, as they are already part of the spread. The Classic account type is suitable for anyone who prefers to use a medium or long term strategy that is independent of spreads.

In comparison, the TMGM Edge account offers the lowest spreads on the site, starting at 0 pips. Users will pay a $7 commission round ($3.50 one way) for each standard lot. The Edge account is the most similar to ECN trading in that there is no dealing desk.

In fact, the spread is the difference between the long price and the short price. It's like when you buy something worth $3 and sell it for $5, the difference is $2, that's your profit. And brokers will charge you 0.5 for example, so your actual profit will be $1.5. It is very important to watch the spread required by the broker to ensure you get the maximum profit. Meanwhile, leverage is similar to money that brokers borrow from you so you can open more positions, giving you more buying power so you can make a profit.

So you can deposit with less amount, but you can get more purchasing power than your deposit amount. But be careful, this can cause you to over-trade, which is very dangerous. You need a demo account to learn forex with real conditions but no deposit, so you use virtual money not real money About TMGM:Minimum deposit is $100, spread is fixed, commission is $3.50 (obtained when you trade up to one lot, you will be charged) and maximum leverage is 1:500, it's really a good choice for beginners even though the deposit is not too low

Damian

Jun 23 2023

In fact, spreads and commissions are the main source of income for brokers and this is quite understandable as they need to generate income in order to make some money on operating expenses.

So, you have to look closely at the spread yourself. Spreads are divided into two types: variable spreads and fixed spreads. Floating spreads are usually cheaper than fixed spreads because the price of a floating spread follows market movements and can be higher. And if the floating spread is marked up too high, it will make trader's profit decreased even more.

Fees will always increase and vice versa due to variable spreads and meanwhile fixed spread starting pip is higher than variable spread making the commissions is lower than variable spread. So, it's all about broker operating costs. So, if you want to trade with low spreads, you have to pay high commissions and vice versa. Hope you can understand! !

TMGM is a safe broker for trading due to its regulatory status, as Trademax Australia Limited is a financial services company regulated by the Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC) adhering to strict standards. ASIC regulation is one of the most stringent authorities worldwide, ensuring stability and reliable maintenance guidelines with client protection.

Also, there is an entity TradeMax Global Limited which is under the laws of Vanuatu, an offshore zone. Although in general, we do not recommend trading with offshore brokers due to the lack of requirements, as TradeMax holds additional reputable licenses which are deemed safe for trading.

Simultaneously, many of the rules before a broker are established include capital requirements that must meet strong risk management and internal procedures, with adequate cash equivalents that give the broker reliability. All client funds are held in a segregated trust account with National Australia Bank (NAB), together with investors covered by Professional Indemnity Insurance which places compensation in the event of a broker's bankruptcy.

Hey there! It's great to hear that there are only two options in TMGM accounts. Having only two options to choose from makes the decision a bit easier. However, I understand your confusion regarding the trading terms. So, if you're a scalper who values low spreads, low commission fees, and other scalping-friendly terms, which TMGM account would be the best fit? Additionally, if you rely on high leverage, which TMGM account offers a significant maximum leverage? Considering these factors is crucial as they directly influence the outcomes and effectiveness of your scalping or high leverage strategies.

What is the concept of a swap-free option in trading, and how does it differ from an Islamic account? In the context of TMGM Classic account, how does the swap-free option cater to the needs of Muslim traders? Additionally, could you elaborate on the trading features available with the TMGM Classic account, such as hedging, scalping, and the use of Expert advisors (EA)? Lastly, considering its suitability for all types of traders, including beginners, what specific aspects make the TMGM Classic account an attractive choice for traders looking for flexibility in their trading strategies?

Victor

Oct 23 2023

@Hayashi: What is the concept of a swap-free option in trading, and how does it differ from an Islamic account?

Basically, it is same! A "swap-free option" in trading, also known as an Islamic account, caters to individuals adhering to Islamic finance principles, particularly the prohibition of Riba (interest). Unlike regular trading accounts, Islamic accounts are entirely interest-free, eliminating swap or rollover fees for holding positions overnight to comply with Sharia rules. While brokers may apply slightly higher spreads or commissions to offset the absence of interest charges, these fees are generally minimal. Accessible to traders of the Islamic faith, Islamic accounts often have asset limitations, strict monitoring for compliance, and they prioritize ethical financial practices by ensuring that no interest is earned or paid, providing a means for traders to engage in financial markets while adhering to their religious beliefs.

Em, am I the only one who just found out that there is an IRESS platform in the broker? quite surprising for me. Usually, each broker offers an MT4, MT5 or cTrader platform for its trading platform.

I'm feeling a bit curious about this. When I first heard about brokers, I had this notion that they were the creators of the Forex Market Environment, effectively the market itself. However, after delving into several articles and gaining a better understanding, I've come to see that forex brokers play a distinct role – that of a bridge connecting traders to the actual market. It's almost like they break down the barrier between traders and the market. This has piqued my interest in the concept of "market access." I'm particularly intrigued by the meaning of "market access," especially in the context of the TMGM Classic account, which utilizes ECN execution. So, could you elaborate on what "market access" signifies in this context? And more importantly, how does this direct market access benefit traders? Understanding this could shed light on the advantages and potential opportunities that traders can harness when trading with the TMGM Classic account.

Hey! So, it's awesome that TMGM keeps it simple with just two account options. Less choice, less headache, right? But I get where you're coming from with the trading jargon. If you're all about scalping and want those sweet low spreads, minimal commission fees, and other perks that suit scalping, which TMGM account should you go for? Also, if you're into using high leverage, which TMGM account gives you the most bang for your buck in terms of maximum leverage? It's super important to consider these factors because they can seriously impact how well your scalping or high leverage strategies play out. Let's make sure we're picking the right one!

Elsa

Mar 23 2024

Totally! In my opinion, having just two options at TMGM definitely simplifies things. If you're into scalping and prefer low spreads, minimal commission fees, and other scalping-friendly terms, the best fit for you would likely be the account that offers these features most prominently. As for high leverage, you'd want to go for the TMGM account that offers the highest maximum leverage to maximize your potential returns. It's crucial to consider these factors carefully since they directly affect the effectiveness of your scalping or high leverage strategies. So, let's weigh our options and make sure we're choosing the account that aligns perfectly with our trading goals!

Probably one of the best trading experiences I have ever felt. But to be fair, I haven't even traded that long. I only tried one other broker besides this one. Anyhow, these are why I love TMGM: - No hidden fees, they tell it like it is. A really rare quality these days, unfortunately. - Smooth deposit and withdrawal. Which I totally in love with. - No manipulating prices, I mean I hope so. Afterall I didn't notice any weird transactions here.
