IC Markets sponsored e-Sports team, OG, claimed victory at the ESL One Dota 2 Stockholm Major after they beat TSM FTX.
Australian broker IC Markets is pleased to announce that the e-sports team they sponsored successfully brought home gold by winning ESL One Stockholm 2022. The ASIC regulated broker did not forget to congratulate and be proud of OG's achievements.
Last year, the company partnered with OG Team as they share the same core values of innovation, technology and success. This partnership is the first of its kind for IC Markets and the first partner in this category for any e-Sport organization.
The Western European team took the title after beating North American powerhouse TSM FTX 3-1 in the grand final. The win gave OG its fifth major title and first major win in more than five years. The victory also puts OG in third place in the Dota Pro Circuit standings, with 1140 points, the only teams ahead of them are PSG.LGD China and TSM NA.
However, this big win was also supported mostly by new faces, such as Ammar "AMMAR_THE_F" Al-Assaf, Artem "Yuragi" Golubiev, and Bozhidar "bzm" Bogdanov. All three are young and new athletes signed by OG. The line-up also features experienced players Tommy "Taiga" Le, and Sébastien "Ceb" Debs, who replaced captain Mikhail "Misha" Agatov.
OG's run at the Stockholm Major was an extraordinary feat as they won on a stand-in. After Mikhail "Misha" Agatov and Evgenii "Chuvash" Makarov experienced visa problems and were unable to take part in the match, OG veterans and The International champions Sébastien "Ceb" Debs and Johan "N0tail" Sundstein had to stand as support as well as coaching positions for the other members.
