Pluss500 Ltd has extended its partnership with Swiss football club BSC Young Boys for two seasons to target its football fan base and expand its brand globally.
London-listed global CFD broker, Plus500 Ltd, has announced the extension of its signed sponsor partnership with BSC Young Boys, one of Switzerland's most popular football clubs, for the next two seasons. It is the second extension after signing for the Swiss Football Club for the first time in 2020 for two seasons.
Founded in 1998, BSC Young Boys has had many fan bases in Japan and overseas, with over 120 thousand followers on several social media accounts. Moreover, the club often competes in the top Swiss and top pan-European football leagues.
Furthermore, this partnership was agreed upon after the football club won the Swiss Super League title in the 2022/23 season. Next season, the football club will return to playing in Europe's top division next season.
By featuring the Plus500 logo on the BSC Young Boys jersey, the company can target a lucrative football fan base and an expansion of its brand not only in the European region but in the international scene.
In addition, it is not the first time Plus500 has partnered with a sports club. Last October, the brokerage firm signed a four-year contract with the US-based professional basketball team Chicago Bulls to boost domestic expansion. Additionally, the company has become the main jersey sponsor of Spanish giants Atlético Madrid under a €45 million contract starting from the 2018/19 season and ending at the end of the 2020/21 season.
