ICMarkets to change its trading hours from March 13th, 2022 following New York due to the imminent start of daylight savings time in the US.

Since Sunday, March 13th, 2022, ICMarkets' trading server will be advancing one hour faster, from GMT+2 to GMT+3 as parts of the US are about to enter summer. Summertime begins on Sunday and lasts until November 6.

The issue of Daylight Savings Time has been a debate for a long time, but it finally came to an end recently. On March 15th, 2022, the U.S. Senate finally adopted legislation that would make Daylight Savings Time permanent starting in 2023, ending the twice-yearly clock change. The bill, named The Sunshine Protection Act, was passed collectively, with no senators against it. The approval of this regulation means that Americans no longer had to change their hours twice a year.

Few Assets Open an Hour Earlier

The company's trading hours for most currencies and commodity products are not affected by changes in the US summer, but there are some products that will open 1 hour earlier on Monday morning. This happens because not all regions will move forward one hour. Clients also need to be aware that changes to GMT+3 may impact the EA, so it is necessary to adjust the time.
