MT5 Finally Joins The Hedging Bandwagon
The very purpose of MT5 being the forefront of rigid netting system was to unify stock exchange and forex under the same platform, adressing several strict finance regulators that prohibit the activity of opening new positions against existing open position under the same financial instrument.
It's worth to note that forex trader, compared to stock exchange investor, tends to look for hedging system to secure their margin (deposit). Subsequently, MetaQuotes re-iterate their MT5 with options to either switch to netting or hedging account.
By default, any new MT5 account on Alpari will activate hedging system as standard and returning users with former MT5 netting system will continue to trade at previous condition.
