Saxo Bank's Steen Blaafalk Officially Retires after 9 Years - Saxo Bank Broker News

Dec 28, 2022
After retiring, Steen Blaafalk admitted that he would remain active at Saxo Bank in a non-executive role.

After a career in banking and trading for more than 42 years, Saxo Bank has officially confirmed that Chief Risk and Compliance Officer Steen Blaafalk has retired.

Information about his retirement has also been confirmed through his LinkedIn page where he thanked him for all the learning, opportunities, and experiences he had gained while working with his team. It has become life through major changes over the decades that have affected society and touched the lives of many people.

Based on his LinkedIn profile, Blaafalk's career in the financial services industry started in 1980 at Copenhagen-based Danske Bank. He served the company for more than 33 years, climbing the corporate ladder to become CEO, then Senior Exec VP, and Head of Group Treasury.

Despite his retirement, Blaafalk said he would not step down from his current directorship. "This will not be a complete farewell to Saxo Bank, as I will continue through several directorships in our subsidiaries and I will always be an ambassador for this great company. I will also be pursuing other non-executive roles as well as advising – but more to come," he said.

Blaafalk has been with Saxo for the last nine years, having joined the Danish brokerage as Chief Financial and Risk Officer in 2014. He is also a board member of Milan-based Saxo Bank Switzerland and BG Saxo.

Customer service simply does not exist. Forget them. They have a great affiliate marketing to convince people to join but that is all.

started the online application process but midway through i checked this site for their reviews and seen how bad they are. I stopped the process but my details were saved on their system. They have tried to call me 3 times every day for the last 2 weeks and no signs of them stopping. Why do they need to do this and it is a major red flag. avoid

After 2 years of being there as a trader and investor, I’m very satisfied with the platform. It’s intuitive, genuine and fast process of withdrawal. Look forward more improvement from Saxo!

Saxo says no withdrawal fee, but actually withdrawal has a fee under the name of intermediary charges, funny enough that there is no other bank involved in the withdrawal transaction.
