Robinhood announces a third attempt at launching in the UK in 2024, confident in serving customers with 24-hour trading and a secured FCA license.

Robinhood

This Robinhood news is poised to be significant for traders and investors seeking opportunities in the UK market.

The CEO of forex broker Robinhood, Vlad Tenev said they are going to start using the app for investment in the UK soon. He feels sure even though before that happened two times and did not work out well in this area.

Tenev said that there is no feeling of "been there, done that" and thinks this commission-free broker can help customers properly. One big benefit is that it already has a license from the UK's Financial Conduct Authority (FCA). This helps build trust and good connections with those who watch over money matters.

But, users can't do everything right away because this US-based broker won't have UK stocks, options, or other types of financial products when it starts. Instead, people can trade more than 6,000 US stocks.

The app wants to stand out by offering 24-hour trading five days a week, making users not have to wait for their trades. Jordan Sinclar, Robinhood's UK boss, said this gives an edge to users. Letting them respond quickly when market news comes so they can put their money plans into action fast.

This shift is the third try to get a spot in the UK market. This SEC-regulated broker has had problems before, like gathering 300,000 people who wanted to invest but then backing out. Even so, they are feeling positive about what might happen in the future and want to focus on UK customers in 2024.
