France AMF On Crusade, Warns Against 45 Online Forex Brokers

France AMF regularly publishes warning against a lot of forex brokers and binary options brokers. AMF's press release on September 2014 listed unauthorized entities that include 45 online forex brokers of various reputations and 122 binary options brokers.

France financial authority, Autorité des marchés financiers (AMF) regularly publishes warning against a lot of forex brokers and binary options brokers that offer financial services in France without holding the licenses needed to do so. The number of such unregulated entities are growing from time to time. Previously, it recorded 32 forex brokers and 77 binary options brokers. In the latest announcement released yesterday (23/9), the number is significantly higher.

First on the list is 4xp that has been known as a scam broker since the end of 2013. Many news outlets have reported that the broker has became incommunicado in February. Currently, 4xp digital address is no longer active, and no known compensation is given to its clients. On the other hand, the list also houses Instaforex that has became a well-known online forex broker in Asia with quite strong fanbase despite being blocked by Indonesian regulator too. As such, it needs to be noted that AMF warning is directed to prevent France residents from dealing with the aforementioned institutions. The regulator also advise caution and urge people to check www.regafi.fr to know whether an entity is authorized to operate in France or not. Bien, if you are not a French resident, then this announcement does not necessarily mean that they are scam brokers or that you breach the law when dealing with them.

The list of AMF-unauthorized binary options brokers is much longer than its forex brokers counterparts, which might be a signal that binary options enthusiasts in France is on the rise, or that the ease to establish binary options brokerage has tempted more people to offer binary options services albeit unregulated.
