Metaquotes, the company behind Metatrader4 and Metatrader5, on Friday last week (8/8), announced that they have waived the mandatory test period for paid trading signals that is being sold in its marketplace. The news has potential to be both good news and bad news for forex traders.

On Friday last week (8/8), forex service provider Metaquotes announced that they have waived the mandatory test period for paid trading signals that is being sold in its marketplace. Metaquotes is the company behind the most popular trading platform, Metatrader4, and its younger sibling, Metatrader5. Therefore, the news has potential to be both good news and bad news for forex traders, particularly for those who regularly shops for forex trading signals to be used on Metatrader4 or Metatrader5.

Previously, trading signal providers that sell their products in Metaquotes marketplace are required to pass one month test period. During that month, the signals have to make a minimum of 5 trades with drawdown less than 70% of its initial value. The mandatory test period ensures that paid signals in the marketplace has fulfilled a certain standard of minimum quality, and provides potential customer with a minimum of one month performance track record. The test period cancellation means that anyone can buy paid trading signals in Metaquotes marketplace without the guarantee of one month test period or such provision.

By removing paid signals' test period, Metaquotes opens its door wider for new trading signal providers for Metatrader4 and Metatrader5. If you are interested to obtain additional profit on the side, then you should not waste this chance to make your brand of trading signal and sell your goods A.S.A.P. In its press release, Metaquotes said that potential market for signal providers in its marketplace ...consists of a few million users of MetaTrader trading terminals. Tempting, isn't it!?

However, if you are a forex trader, then it might be a good idea to be more cautious in choosing trading signals. Take care to check on each trading signal, and make sure that the ones you choose has quite a long history.
