Alexander Kochev has been appointed Chief Technology Officer at ThinkMarkets after two years of working with the company.

Australian broker ThinkMarkets operates globally under multiple regulatory licenses while offering the widest range of instruments, including forex, index CFDs, stocks, commodities, and cryptocurrencies. In order to be at the forefront of the brokerage business, ThinkMarkets focuses on its proprietary technology. Earlier this year, the company added web support to its trading platform to increase offerings and hire a new CTO.

The multi-regulated broker promoted Alexander Kolchev as Chief Technology Officer after 2 years Kolchev worked with the broker.

Based in Sofia, Bulgaria, he joined the broker in October 2020 as Director of Technology Europe and later assumed responsibility in the same role for the broker's overall global operations.

Kolchev is a software expert with a decade of experience in the industry. Prior to joining ThinkMarkets, he served 8 months at DXC Technology as Chapter Manager for Application Development and Integration.

Previously, Kolchev spent six years of his career at SmartIT, an IT consulting and services firm based in Sofia. There, he occupied the position of Software Developer and separated as Head of Software Development. After completing his academic studies at New Bulgarian University, he joined Iphos IT Solutions as a Software Developer.
