Saxo Bank UK appoints ex-Bank of America Merrill Lynch Simon Camilleri as its new Chief Operating Officer based in London.

Fintech specialist Saxo Bank has appointed Simon Camilleri as Chief Operating Officer of the board members of its subsidiary, Saxo UK Limited. Previously, Camilleri worked at Bank of America Merrill Lynch for over 17 years. Most recently, he served as COO and Director of EMEA Rates and Global Non-Linear Rates Trading. In his new role at Saxo Bank, Camilleri will be based in London and report to Saxo UK CEO, Charles White-Thomson.

Throughout his career, Camilleri has held the positions of Senior Client Liaison Manager and Global Investment Manager Services, at State Street Bank and Trust. His career started as a Global Securities Specialist at Mellon Trust. Camilleri has front-office experience across multiple global markets trading desks, as well as an analytical background and track record.
