Plus500 has a new board member. Varda Liberman was selected to fill the position of non-executive director of the Audit Committee and the Risk and Regulatory Committee.

Plus500 welcomes Prof. Varda Liberman as non-executive director on the new Audit Committee and the Risk and Regulatory Committee. Liberman was selected for his dedication to earning a Ph.D. in Mathematics from Tel Aviv University, as well as his reputation as a distinguished scholar and lecturer for more than two decades.

In addition, Liberman has held various managerial positions with key focus areas in healthcare, banking, investment, technology, the justice system, and the Israel Defense Forces.

Jacob A. Frenkel, chairman of Plus500 expressed his pleasure at Liberman's arrival on the company's Board. Having worked with a number of major international organizations over the years, Liberman is expected to bring notable experience and knowledge of corporate strategy, management decision-making, and behavioral economics to the company.

 

Daniel King Steps Down from His Position

On the other hand, Daniel King, Independent Non-Executive Director and External Director of Plus500 has decided to step down from his position. King has been on the board since the company's IPO in 2013.

After ending his maximum term of nine years, he will part ways with the board at the start of the next annual general meeting, to be held in June 2022. However, King will continue to chair the Remuneration and ESG Committee until his departure, at which point Anne Grim will take over this role later.
Frenkel added that he would also like to thank Daniel for his long-standing support and guidance to the Board of Directors. According to him, Daniel was and has always been, a very effective and engaged board member who has made significant contributions as Chair of a number of Board Committees over the years.
