Saxo Bank appoints Philip Frijs as CEO of Saxo Bank for the Nordic region and Gyula Szathmary as Head of Digital Experience Platforms.

Copenhagen-based retail Forex and CFD broker, Saxo Bank, appears to be constantly changing its senior management line. Most recently, it appointed Philip Frijs as CEO of Saxo Bank for the Nordic region. Frijs' duties include overseeing business in the home market of Denmark as well as other countries of the Nordic region.

Philip Frijs has been with Saxo Bank since 2010, as part of Saxo Bank Nordic's acquisition of US online broker ETrade. For the past two and a half years, he has served as Commercial Owner – Investor Segment at Saxo with responsibility for overseeing the entire investor segment in all regions of the Saxo Bank Group.

Frijs will replace Johannes Rovsing who retired from the position of Nordic Region CEO in 2019.

Gyula Szathmary as Head of Digital Experience Platforms

Gyula Szathmary was promoted to Global Head of Saxo Bank's Digital Experience Platform and CMS Strategy. Szathmary is not really a new face as he has been working at the bank as Global Head of Digital Development and Content Management Strategy since 2018.

Serving for over 9 years, Szathmary is a veteran at Saxo Bank, where he first started out as a Digital Designer and Community Manager. Between 2014 and 2018, he held the position of Freelance Graphic Designer at ISS A/S. He also worked as a Communications Assistant at Corvinus University Budapest between 2010 and 2012.

Szathmary had a brief two-month at Cleanevent 2012 as Junior Manager, where he worked in Olympic Village at the 2012 London Olympics.
