Daylight Saving Time ended last week. Here's the list of affected trading instruments on IC Markets server times.

The US ended Daylighting Time last Sunday, November 6, 2022, resulting in changes to IC Markets (MT4/MT5/cTrader) server times. Not only the US people are back one hour, but brokers also have to adjust trading hours following the end of Daylight Saving Time.

Daylight Saving Time (DST) is the practice of advancing the clock one hour from Standard Time during the summer and changing it back in the fall. The concept is to enable us all to make better use of natural daylight: because moving the clock forward an hour in the spring gives more daylight during summer nights, while moving the clock back by an hour in the fall gives more daylight during a winter morning.

The current Daylight Saving Time period is defined by the Energy Policy Act of 2005, which took effect in 2007. Today, most Americans advance (turn the clock forward and lose an hour) on the second Sunday in March (at 2:00 a.m.) and backward (turn back the clock and get an hour) on the first Sunday in November (2:00 A.M.).
