The removal of MetaTrader from the App Store is leading many brokers, including IC Markets, to seek alternatives for accessing the platform.
A few weeks ago, suddenly, MetaQuotes Software Corp. removed the MetaTrader 4 (MT4) and MetaTrader 5 (MT5) platforms from Apple's marketplace, the App Store.
While existing MetaTrader 4 and MetaTrader 5 Mobile users are not affected and can continue to use the app on their mobile devices, new users who had MT4 or MT5 installed before the app was uninstalled can still connect and access IC Markets servers simply by following these 4 easy steps:
- Open the MT4 and/or MT5 mobile terminal on your iOS device.
- Go to Settings.
- Choose New Account.
- Enter the server name found in your welcome email.
For IC Markets clients who have installed MT4 or MT5 on their iOS device, but removed it, they can reinstall the app via the following simple steps:
- Open the "App Store" app on your iOS device.
- Go to your "Account" and "Purchases".
- Search for the MT4 or MT5 app and click the download icon.
However, the method above can work as long as the client has upgraded to a new device and wants to reinstall the MT4 or MT5 application.
For clients using Android, the MetaTrader Mobile terminal is still available on the Google Play Store and is still accessible via desktop and can be downloaded via the Secure Client Area.
The Australian broker apologizes for the inconvenience caused and will try to provide further updates in the future to find alternative solutions. If a client has a question or needs assistance,IC Markets customer support is open 24/7 via live chat or email.

So basically metatrader 4 and 5 are still available for the pre-installed version in the iOS App Store. And you can even re-download it if you ever uninstalled. So, basically either you have install it or unistalled it, you still can re-download em and it is very safe for the traders. One big applause for IC Market is the steps that showing re-install MT4 and MT5. I think it is very important and I bet many people won't know how to reload the d app.
However, in the case of a new trader who does not have MT4 and MT5 installed and uses an iPhone, there will be problems with IC Market. I mean is there any trading platform for new IC Market traders other than metatrader 4 and 5??

Why was MetaTrader removed from the App Store? I mean, AFAIK MT4/5 is popular and relatively safe to use, even to beginners, yes?
AppStore will likely lose more opportunity if they keep this policy

@Jay:
The reason why MetaTrader was removed from the App Store is unclear, but it is believed that it may be due to a violation of the store's policies or guidelines. There are some reports that suggest that the removal may be related to issues with the brokerages that offer the MetaTrader platform, rather than the platform itself. However, this has not been confirmed by Apple or MetaQuotes, the company that developed MetaTrader.
Meanwhile, you might want to try these alternative as they're still available on App Store:
