Financial services provider StoneX Group Inc. announced the finalization of its announcement in February to acquire Gain Capital.

Gain Capital, an online retail FX trading services provider, is now fully acquired by StoneX Group Inc. The acquisitor, formerly known as INTL FCStone, made an announcement today about the finalization of its acquisition. Gain Capital from New Jersey provides traders with low-cost access to foreign exchange markets. Their businesses include global CFD and FX brands FOREX.com and City Index, which provides access to the world's major commodity and derivatives trading on over 30 global exchanges.

The amount of equity value is approximately $236 million. The shareholders of Gain Capital voted last month the approval of acquisition for $6.00 per share in an all-cash transaction.

StoneX, in turn, will add a new digital platform to its global financial network, significantly expanding its offering to retail clients, as well as a complementary futures business. While the StoneX CEO, Sean O'Connor said that the acquisition of GAIN Capital is an exciting business this year.

We expect the integration of GAIN’s businesses to drive transaction volumes and create new cross-selling opportunities across all of our platforms – ultimately driving our financial performance in the process," said O'Connor.
