eToro clarified it had resolved a problem in their platform that previously led to difficulties in opening new trading positions. The broker confirmed it was just a minor bug.

Clients of eToro social investing platform experienced an inconvenience in opening new positions during the beginning of September 2020. Apparently, there were some technicals errors when placing a new position of trade. eToro responded to their complaints and clarified that it was due to some minor bugs. eToro apologized and said it was fixed.

As a trusted forex broker and social platform, eToro didn't spend much time handling complaints. They found the first complaint of the problem around September 1. They then quickly identified what causing the issue, by asking for help from senior staff at Microsoft. Now, the clients can use the platform normally.

Tuval Chomut, Chief Solutions Officer in eToro, acknowledged that they have benefits of being a social investing platform. The clients are actively speaking. He had seen the speculation that this is an issue around trading volumes and he wanted to address this directly. However, Chomut assured that eToro continues to improve systems so that it can handle volumes up to 100x of current levels as eToro continues to add more assets.

"Many of us rely daily on cloud computing services, whether that’s to speak to friends, stream movies, or work from home. This technology has quietly revolutionized our lives, with some experts suggesting it’s already as important as utilities including electricity, gas, and water. And it’s only just getting started! Cloud computing is vital for many emerging technologies that are set to have a profound influence on the world, including self-driving cars, artificial intelligence and remote working," said Dani Brinker, head of portfolio investment at eToro.
