Raw spread brokers can offer you the best price in the market in exchange for a commission fee. cTrader is often regarded as the right platform to facilitate it.
Ever wonder why brokers' prices are different than the market price? That's because most brokers are making money by marking up the prices of the assets through the spread. If you don't like this idea, perhaps using a broker that offers raw spread is the best. This account allows you to access the actual prices in the market without any markup from the broker.
There are a lot of raw spread brokers nowadays, and some of them use cTrader to ensure their raw spread offering better. Including:
- IC Markets: Offers a competitive spread starting from 0 pips on the cTrader platform.

On the other hand, non-Australian traders who open an account in this broker are registered under IC Markets SEY that is based in Seychelles, and regulated under the Seychelles Financial Services Authority (SFSA). The dual operation is a result of the relatively new rules from ASIC that prohibit their regulated broker to offer trading services outside Australia.
Classified as an ECN broker, IC Markets provide clients with MetaTrader 4, MetaTrader 5, cTrader as platform trading options. This broker also follows market trends to include Cryptocurrencies as one of its products, enriching its already wide selection of trading assets that include Currencies, Indices, Metals, Energies, Softs, Stocks, as well as Bonds.
The minimum deposit in IC Markets is in the middle range compared to other ASIC-regulated brokers, as it reaches $200 for every client. As the trading technology in IC Markets is highly equipped with co-located servers and extremely low latency (especially on cTrader), the broker is widely known for its capability in hosting traders with the special needs for high-frequency trading as well as scalping.
To sum up, IC Markets is a fitting destination for active traders looking for a well-regulated broker. IC Markets is also flexible in terms of base currency and payment methods, signaling their commitment to welcome traders beyond their home country. Why Choose cTrader?
Some of you might have heard about cTrader before. This platform is not a new player in the industry. Developed by the Spotware System, cTrader is a great platform is the transparent price quote transmitted by DoM (Depth of Market) within its system. There are three DoM modes to pick from, VWAP DoM, Standard DoM, and Price DoM.
Each gives you different market insights and precisions to small detail such as different price quotes for different volume sizes and availability of liquidity for each level or price quote. The DoM mode in cTrader allows users to get a different spread according to the amount of traded lots. This is why cTrader is favored by scalpers and traders with big trading sizes.
All live data feed in cTrader is sent directly from the interbank, so it's unlikely to be faked. Meanwhile, within the MT4 platform, the data clarity solely depends on the broker's honesty.
Another reason you should consider cTrader is that this platform integrated itself with many liquidity aggregators to ensure there are no requotes. That way, the spread is relatively guaranteed to reflect the market's actual conditions.
cTrader is also packed with helpful indicators and plenty of trading tools to give its users the best trading experiences. Fundamental traders can benefit from in-app news and event updates within this platform.

I love cTrader, I have been using them for a while. It's great that there are a lot of brokers with raw spread for this platform nowadays.

NotYourUsuall-Trader: Hey, may I ask how good cTrader is? I don't know any trading platform other than his Metatrader. I also heard that Metatrader was banned or removed on iOS phones due to the embargo on Russian products, affected by the war between Ukraine and Russia. I don't even know that Metatrader is made in Russia, but now I'm afraid Playstore like Android will ban his Metatrader too.
So I started looking for other trading platforms. I also suggested trading with a broker that has its own trading platform, but I really doubt it because of the limited trading tools and a lot of indicator tools that aren't available there either. thank you very much!

Lionell: I don't know what other traders have to say about cTrader, but cTrader clearly had more advanced trading tools than Metatrader. What I love most about cTrader is that the platform is interbank connected by default. All data feeds and slippage are displayed in real time according to global market data. Additionally, cTrader has a Depth of Market feature that allows users to get different spreads depending on the amount of lots traded. This highly accurate trade is preferred by scalpers and traders with large trade sizes. Also, the interface used by cTrader can be switched from light mode to dark mode and vice versa, depending on the user's preference. It also dynamically arranges layout options to make the user feel comfortable while using this platform for a long period of time.

I am a MetaTrader fan, but I have been thinking of trying cTrader these days. Maybe I should try one of these raw accounts.
Tristan
Feb 22 2023
HugesG: I think you can stick with MetaTrader as the difference that can occur between MetaTrader and cTrader is the commission fees. Some brokers may charge higher fees for his Metatrader Raw account than for cTrader account. However, since the difference is only $1, I don't think it matters much to affect trading, but I don't really like cTrader because it offers so many tools that it's hard to learn. But if you want a more advanced trading platform, cTrader is your best bet.
So, if you want to simplify your trading with a simple trading platform, choose his Metatrader instead of cTrader. Whether you agree or not, that's my opinion. thank you very much!

Is better to use a raw account? Or should I stick with the low spread?
Andy
Feb 22 2023
tradecheesem3: It depends on your trading volume I guess.Of course, if you want to trade like scalping with a lot of open entries, the smaller the spread the better. I also recommend choosing a RAW account over a low spread account as RAW spreads can be very low.
However, if you want to trade with lower commissions, enter with higher lots when you start trading. Example 0.5 lots; it is recommended to use low spreads. We also highly recommend using a standard account as higher spreads mean lower commissions.
Also, you need to check the commission on your RAW account. Prices are typically high due to round turn based pricing. On the other hand, low spread commissions are charged as normal commissions

I think that raw account is better since it means no mark-up, right? But, you might be subjected to commission fee, so there is that.
Theo
Feb 22 2023
chocomint04: Regarding the markup price a broker can have, I do not agree that the raw spread is not the markup price. I don't know if it's true but I've heard that ECN and STP brokers can offer RAW accounts You may. Some raw accounts offered by ECN Brokers may not have a markup spread price, while raw accounts offered by SPT Brokers may have a lower markup price than low spread accounts.
Whether it's an ECN or STP Brokers RAW account, the commissions are actually higher than other accounts. I don't know why, but at least the spread is very good for scalpers.

I think whichever account you pick, the question is always whether it fits your trading style or not. I'm a scalper so a standard account never works in my favor.

I heard different trading platforms will have different raw spreads. I don't know if this is true, but if so, which trading platform will offer better raw spreads?
And I also don't know cTrader, I mean it's okay, according to the article, it offers very good DoM which can support ECN accounts very well. But believe it or not, I think MetaTrade still has a lot of people using the standard account or the Raw Spread account. But for the speculators, many will choose cTrader over MetaTrader. Ok, what makes cTrader able to support DoM so much in its system?

First of all, you are right! Different trading platforms can offer different raw spreads, which is like the difference in prices you see when shopping for the same product in different stores. Some factors can affect the raw spreads, such as how many people are buying and selling, fees, and where the platform gets its prices.
When it comes to cTrader and MetaTrader, they both have their pros and cons. As the article said, cTrader is known for its cool feature called DoM, which helps traders see the best prices available in real-time. This feature is perfect for those who want to make fast trades and get the best price. It's because cTrader connects traders directly to the people who are selling and buying, which means they can get a good deal.
On the other hand, MetaTrader has two types of accounts: standard and raw spread. These accounts rely on market makers to provide liquidity, which can mean slightly higher prices and slower execution speeds. However, MetaTrader also has an ECN account that works like cTrader's model, which can provide better pricing and faster execution.

So, if you are looking for a platform that can deliver the best DoM, you can choose cTrader because it provides more transparency of the market and its system is very supportive of scalpers. Moreover, the trading platform is integrated with many liquidity providers, resulting in tighter spreads and a guarantee of no requotes. Due to these features, cTrader is considered more advanced than other platforms, such as MetaTrader. Therefore, if you want to use the scalping method with one of the brokers listed in the article, I suggest choosing cTrader over other trading platforms

Since cTrader provides a very good DoM feature and it's one of its main features, and the article mentions it is good for scalping due to its ability to offer tight spreads with no requotes. Additionally, DoM can only be found at ECN brokers, right? This combination of ECN and scalping can be very unfriendly to beginners, which makes me doubt whether to use cTrader despite its many advanced features. Would it be worth using cTrader as a beginner trading platform other than TradingView and MetaTrader? And is it suitable for standard trading?
David
Mar 23 2023
It should be noted that while both platforms offer ECN trading, cTrader is generally preferred by traders due to its enhanced depth of market (DoM) functionality, fast execution speed, and pricing model. transparent prices. These features can be especially useful for scalping and high frequency trading strategies. However, it is important to remember that cTrader and MetaTrader both have their own strengths and weaknesses and the best platform for you will depend on your individual trading needs and preferences.
Regarding your statement about cTrader and its relevance to beginners, it is true that cTrader may not be the most beginner-friendly platform due to its focus on ECN and scaling. However, if you want to use its advanced features, such as DoM, then it might be worth exploring as a beginner. It should also be noted that cTrader offers a demo account, which can be a great way for beginners to practice trading on the platform without risking real money. Ultimately, whether cTrader is suitable for standard trading will depend on your personal needs and preferences, so you should try the platform out to see if it's right for you.
