XM offers several educational programs to help both traders improve their trading skills. They range from live rooms to free webinars hosted by experts.
Trading and investment have undoubtedly undergone a massive transformation in the past several years. Previously, if you want to start investing, you had to find a full-service broker who would offer you some advice and conduct the investment for you. Today, the financial sector has been highly democratized, making it possible for anyone in the world to access various trading services through intuitive platforms as well as mobile trading apps from the comfort of their home.
With that being said, it's only natural that users need to be better educated about risk management and gain a better understanding of online trading. There are many ways to get a trading education, but the easiest way is to learn through forex brokers. Nowadays, many brokers offer excellent educational materials for their clients, whether it's for free or through paid subscriptions. XM is a well-regulated broker that offers various trading and investment services. Apart from that, the broker has a wide range of educational materials suitable for both beginners and advanced traders. Here are all of the educational features that you can enjoy:
Established in 2009, XM is a member of an online brokerage company called Trading Point of Financial Instruments Ltd. In providing clients on a global scale, the company has branched into XM Australia and XM Global, and XM Cyprus. Each member has different headquarters and licenses, with XM Australia registered under the Australian Securities and Investment Commission (reference number: 443670), XM Global under the IFSC (60/354/TS/19), and XM Cyprus under the Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission (reference number: 120/10).
XM is one of the more experienced brokers in the world of online forex trading today. Since its founding, the broker has experienced a lot of changes, including the addition of the Ultra-Low Account and Webinar feature that is accommodated in 19 different languages with 35 native instructors for each language.
In terms of trading instruments, XM is a well-known diverse class assets provider, varying from Forex, Commodities, Equity Indices in CFDs, Precious Metals, Energies, to Shares. XM prides itself to be the ideal broker in trading execution, offering a stat of 99.35% orders to be executed in less than 1 second. Trading in XM would be also provided with a strict no requotes policy, no virtual dealer plug-in, no rejection of orders, real-time market execution, and the choice for traders to place orders online or by phone.
Spreads on all majors can reach as low as 0.6 pips in Ultra-Low Account, while spreads on other accounts usually start from 1 pip. Instead of providing maximum leverage on the scale of 1:500 or 1:1000 (round numbers), XM chooses to limit their leverage on a 1:888 scale, a unique number that is now widely recognized as XM's trademark.
To protect the client's fund in the event of extreme volatility, XM presents each account type with Negative Balance Protection. The deposit starts from $5 in Micro and Standard Account, while Ultra-Low Account requires a minimum deposit of $50. Traders who open accounts in XM are enabled a condition similar to a Cent Account environment in the Micro Account, in which the Contract Size for every lot is only 1,000 units. If it is applied with the smallest lot size in the MetaTrader platform which amounts to 0.01, it means that traders can go as small as 10 units per trade.
For the deposit, XM applies zero-fee deposits in most of its available payment methods. Traders can choose to fund or withdraw their accounts via wire transfer, credit card, as well as the most favorable e-payment choices like Skrill, Neteller, and FasaPay.
XM also provides an Islamic Account for Muslim Traders obligated to Sharia Law that prohibits the use of interest generated by overnight swaps for each currency pairs. To give their clients the best experiment in trading, XM has given access to both MT4 and MT5 platforms, each is available for more than 6 display formats (PC, Mac, Multiterminal, WebTrader, iPad, iPhone, Android, and Android Tablet).
All in all, there is no doubt that XM has gone global with its deep commitment to providing trading services in more than 15 languages around the world. Aside from easing traders' experience with mainstream trading platforms and high-quality trading execution, XM is open to various types of traders, from small capital traders to the more experienced ones with big deposits at the ready. Traders are even provided with a Cent Trading environment should they choose to register under Micro Account.
For their global approach, XM has ensured that traders from various countries could access their service easily. This results in the provision of different domains specified for traders in certain jurisdictions. For example, traders from Indonesia could access XM via this link.
1. Education Rooms
To begin with, XM offers educational rooms that go live every day to cover everything you need to know about trading. The rooms are divided into two groups, namely:
- Beginner Room: Includes live webinars, Q&As with experts, trading fundamentals, and trading session analysis.
- Advanced Room: Includes everything in the beginner room with extra content on how to prepare for a trade, follow real-time trading, and live debates.
As you can see, the rooms are divided based on the trader's expertise. Both rooms are completely free of charge and available to all traders. It is certainly a great place to learn the fundamentals of trading directly from expert instructors. You can interact with them and ask them questions. Unfortunately, this feature is only available in English for now.
2. Education Schedule
On this page, you'll see the complete schedule of educational rooms. There are several topics discussed each day, ranging from the latest analysis, weekly outlooks, to expert opinions regarding recent market movements. Therefore, make sure to check the schedule before you participate.

Education as the Key to Successful Trading
Trading is putting your money in the market to make profits and achieve your goals. Some people might compare it to the act of gambling, but the two are actually very different. In online trading, you need to learn before you can earn. Most successful traders agree that one needs to be well-prepared before they enter the market. Reckless trading has a higher chance of failing, so it's important to be educated and prepare for things like trading methods, money management, and trading psychology.
While the concept of trading may sound easy, there are numerous terms and strategies that are hard to be casually picked up without proper education. This is why every trader needs to learn at least the basics of forex trading and educate themselves with different techniques in order to determine what's best for them.
The following are some key benefits that you can get from getting a proper trading education like what XM provides:
- Knowledge: The forex market is a battlefield full of traders with various levels of expertise. Meaning, you will compete with experts as well as big traders. If you want to win, you need to be smarter than them. Joining a trading course will give you an insight into forex trading and trading tools that might lead you to success.
- Risk management: While it is important to make as much profit as possible, it's equally important to protect your initial capital from losses. Learning how the market works can help you manage your risks better and increase your chance of success.
- Trading psychology: Every trader needs to have good control of their emotions, especially fear and greed. Through proper education, you can develop the discipline to stick to your trading method and avoid emotional trading.
- Trading plan: By learning about various different strategies, you'll be able to build your own strategy that works for you. This will help you determine when to enter and exit the market, what instrument to trade, etc.
- Mentoring: Getting in touch with experts is a brilliant way to improve your skills. You can observe how they conduct their trades and get useful advice based on their experience.
The Bottom Line
In order to be well-educated in trading, it's always a great idea to join an educational program to enrich your knowledge and sharpen your skills. At XM, you can get educational materials through various methods depending on your preference. You can join the educational room, live webinar, or simply watch educational videos on your own time.
At the end of the day, remember that trading requires continuous learning. Even expert traders still need to constantly learn and stay updated with the current news. So, if you want to be a successful trader, do not stop learning. The more you learn, the more you can generate considerable profits in the long term.

What a Suprise! Actually, I have never met a broker that puts so much focus on client education. In other words, some brokers just want to profit by offering their clients high leverage with minimal deposits, which leads many beginners to open many position trades, with many position that opened, brokers will get profit from spread and commissions but in the other side it will resulting in overtrade and margin call for trader.
And most of beginner trader will be confused because of that and blame the brokers. So, with XM focus education of Forex, I hope there is no more case like that again.
On the other hand, these brokers from XM that I have seen have had a lot of forex training, making us beginners on the basics. Are there any brokers that also offer education like XM? I do not think so!

Josh Blink: In fact, there are many brokers who offer education in their trading feature. As you know forex is a world of risk, so I think brokers these days realize that education is very important. With more profit comes more risk and you need to minimalize your risk first before thinking about profit.
About the brokers that I talked about, there are some brokers also offer Education training for their traders.:
And many more, you can find all of these brokers review in this website. And need to noted that brokers those regulated one always offer education feature but we need to search for additional knowledge and you can do that in this website! Ciao!

Josh Blink: I think that while I studied several brokers such as Pepperstone, OctaFX, Admirals, AvaTrade, and many others on par, they all provide these educational features and services. but sometimes there are some brokers who highlight educational features only for experienced or only suitable for beginners.
There are also a number of brokers who only want to highlight both sides of education for beginners and experience, however, educational material is not prominent. and well, as far as I've read, the ion of educational material provided by the XM broker is perfect for these two types of traders.

I admit that XM has a lot of options of education material that I can choose. But because of that I am confused, what kind of education can I start? I mean, I'm really a novice and don't even know what the basics of trading are, or even forex terms I really don't know.
And with so many options, we decided to do a webinar, but found that we couldn't understand what they were saying. Even the webinar actually explained each topic very clearly and after that, when I try to enter the training room and the beginner room, and it is still video and webinar! I mean I can't really follow their training because it is video, and I need time to process all of its information.
So, what is the best education to get started in forex trading?

Qony:
If you are confused because XM training uses videos, you can read some articles here. So, instead of using videos, you can learn about forex very quickly and get to understand some terms and of course the trading basic with in no time. I think this is a very good move for people like you.
By the way, this website, Brokerxplorer has some articles that you may find useful. Because it has some article that explain everything from zero to advance. Just click Article Menu above and choose the topics that you want. So, if you've got it all figured out, try combining this educational article with his XM educational video.
I have Some recommendation that may help you:
Hope all these can help you to learn Forex. Or if you want more articles just click here : BrokerXplorer Trading Basic Articles List.

Brandon Mark: Wow, that's a lot of articles to read. Thank you for information. As you said it is very difficult to learn with videos and most XM trainings are videos and webinars. XM claims that webinars and videos are effective in educating traders by listening, watching, and practicing the Forex trading, but some beginners like me may find the materials that's difficult to follow and can't really did well to understand it. And I think some of trader that like me will not understand it at all.
Well, I think I've found the solution now. Thanks @Brandon.

I am always interested in brokers who provide good educational features and do not sample only experienced traders or only beginner traders. XM here also attracts my attention because it has a lot of education available.
Those who know that every trader has a different type of learning, there are those who are the reading type and immediately understand or they tend to be more auditory. and yes I belong to the second type. So it just so happens that XM provides educational videos, but what material is discussed in the videos? I prefer trading videos that explain trading strategies and techniques.

Marchel:
As far as I know, XM is a broker that provides complete educational videos discussing technicalities and strategies in forex trading. and that's not all in my opinion, XM provides a video bibliography that covers quite a wide range of topics, such as
If indeed you prefer educational videos related to strategy, I know there are a lot of them at XM. there are lessons on filtering entry signals, moving average Ribbon signals, Avramis river signals, Bolliger bands signals, and many more. if you are curious, you can watch the XM educational video.

Patrick: Thank you very much for the explanation and recommendations. It turns out that Xm is very complete for its video trading features. I feel that XM is like a trading library in the form of a platform. but after I also saw the link you provided, all the educational videos can be accessed for free, right, even though I haven't registered here yet.
and wow, there are lots of trading strategy videos that are offered through moving average signals, they're also here. I actually don't know too much about the various types of trading signals and well as far as I know this moving average signal is often used by both beginners and experienced ones. Okay, I'll try watching the video first to further ensure the quality of educational features at XM.Thank you very much for the explanation and recommendations. Marchel: why don't you try to take part in this live education offered by XM, because you are an auditory type in learning I think XM live is. I think XM live is a space for beginners to learn. You can learn by listening to trading lessons from an expert and at the same time practicing.
at Xm also provides a question and answer session with market experts about problems or difficulties during good trading. In XM live, it's quite complete, yes, there are webinars, live how to provide trading, and yes, you can also practice directly by participating in live trading. This join trading feature is what I like the most about this broker.

I believe that education at XM is indeed quite good and suitable for all types of traders. This broker provides several types of learning style approaches, starting in the form of articles, educational videos, and some in the form of practical trading lessons. this makes it easy for all traders who have different learning styles.
I am pleased to know that the educational materials are accessible to all visitors to the XM website, although some sections require registration.
As far as I know, apart from XM, there are also brokers that provide good educational features too, namely OANDA. So, which one do you think has better educational features between the two brokers?
Calista
Jan 23 2023
Samuel J: From my point of view, the educational features of OANDA are also quite good, so they compete with other brokers. But as far as I know, the trading material here is more focused on beginners. for experienced traders, I don't think it's suitable for sure with this education at OANDA. But unlike OANDA, here XM comes with sufficient features by increasing its educational features so that it can be used by both novice and experienced traders.
so in my opinion, if you ask which one is better, maybe you can suit your needs. if you are an experienced trader, XM's Education feature is superior in my opinion. Maybe if someone wants to give another opinion, please...

Calista: I agree with you, I think the educational features in OANDA are more inclined only toward beginners. However, I would like to add just a little about the educational features of OANDA so that traders can consider them in choosing the right broker.
at Oanda and at XM both offer friendly and good educational features with structured education. As far as I know, OANDA has a history as a data service, so the market analysis offered is very detailed and very good. However, customer service in several countries is still limited in scope. well, the difference here, as far as I know, XM provides more freedom of access to its educational features for all its customers or those who open its website.
So, I think the educational features at XM are still friendlier to all traders even if they are not yet customers compared to OANDA.

Samuel J: I think OANDA is also good for trading beginners and can also be considered too even though it can only be accessed by its customers. OANDA's educational features, it is divided into several sections.
The introductory section covers the basic aspects of Forex CFD trading, such as leverage and margin, and introduces traders to the MT4 platform. The Tools and Strategies section covers analysis and explains how traders can use various technical analysis tools to better predict the market. This is an important skill for every trader who wants to be successful. Finally, the capital management section examines risk management and its application to real market conditions.
I think this educational feature is the same as XM which provides educational material in the form of articles or videos, but in OANDA it's more random. Okay, if you are a beginner maybe you can be wiser in choosing which one is good. But maybe it's because I'm an OANDA user that I prefer educational features on OANDA.

Carolline: even though I think that XM has superior educational features than this OANDA. You must already know from the explanation of the author of this article that the educational features in XM are more structured. for the education section in the form of articles and the form of videos only separated. I think it's much more convenient.
if it's a webinar feature, these two brokers also schedule this, well, even though OANDA is more inclined towards beginner traders starting from material on all aspects of trading, including Trading Basics and Live Market Analysis.
But as far as I know, finding educational features on the OANDA website is quite difficult, huh..... This section is not linked from the menu at the top of the page and can only be found in the menu at the bottom of the page. We cannot determine whether this was intentional or negligent on the part of the OANDA team.
Even if you are a beginner, not as long as you are a beginner, I agree you will need a material that discusses trading strategies more.
