Where I can find a safe, trusted, and reliable ECN account in Indonesia?

Hi Wira,
as far as I know in Indonesia, a well-known ECN broker is one from the Gain Capital Group LLC investment company group, USA. The company has also gone public and is listed on the NYSE (US) with code GCAP. However, we need to inform you if the broker uses the Metatrader 4 platform, it can be assumed that the broker is not truly ECN because the Metatrader 4 platform does not support ECN. 

And if you trade at the ECN broker, you will be charged a commission per transaction (both profit and loss), subject to swap, not hedging, and subject to FIFO (First In First Out) rules because the broker is regulated by the NFA which requires following these rules.

Hi Dominick Ishiizu,
trading on an ECN account is no different from trading in general. Having swaps, when there is a running price or something else. An ECN type broker is actually participating in the market like a large bank that functions as a liquidator or bringing together sellers and buyers among their users (not standardized).

As far as I know, the best ECN account is served by a broker that regulated by a trusted and credible regulatory body like:

  • CFTC (Commodity Futures Trading Commission) - USA
  • NFA (National Futures Association) - USA
  • SEC (U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission) - USA
  • FSA (Financial Services Authority) - United Kingdom
  • ASIC (Australian Securities & Investments Commission) - Australia
  • SFC (Hong Kong Securities and Futures Commission) - Hong Kong
